We are a collective of independent business coaches based in several locations across New Zealand. We work with small business owners in New Zealand and around the world, helping them think through challenges, make clearer decisions and turn plans into practical action.
When you fill in our enquiry form, we use what you tell us to suggest a coach we think will be a good fit. That person may be based near you, or they may work with you remotely from another part of New Zealand.
Running a business should not mean working everything out alone
You can be good at what you do and still find running a business difficult.
Perhaps the work keeps coming in, but there never seems to be enough money left over. Your team might depend on you for every decision. You might have plans for the business, but spend most of your week dealing with whatever needs attention first.
Sometimes you know exactly what needs to change. Finding the time, confidence or headspace to do it is another matter.
Business coaching gives you someone to talk things through with. Someone who can ask useful questions, challenge your thinking and help you decide what to do next.
The aim is to help you build a business that works better for you, with clearer priorities and practical steps you can follow.
Independent coaches, with different perspectives
Our collective brings together independent business coaches in several New Zealand locations. Each coach works independently, bringing their own experience, perspective and approach to the conversation.
Small businesses vary enormously. A business owner taking on their first employee needs different support from someone managing a team, reviewing their pricing or preparing to step back from day-to-day operations.
That is why we start by finding out about you and your business.
Depending on your priorities, coaching conversations might cover:
Improving profitability and understanding where your money goes.
Setting prices that reflect the work involved.
Managing people and reducing the team’s reliance on you.
Making time for planning alongside the daily workload.
Choosing which opportunities deserve your attention.
Setting goals and following through on decisions.
You do not need a polished business plan or a carefully worded explanation before getting in touch. Telling us what is happening, and what you would like to change, is a useful starting point.
A good coaching relationship starts with your circumstances, rather than a standard list of things every business owner should do.
How we match you with a business coach
Finding a coach is about more than choosing the nearest name on a map. You need someone whose approach suits you and who can have a useful conversation about the issues you are facing.
Our enquiry process is straightforward:
Tell us about your business. Fill in the form with a little information about what you do, where you are based and what you would like help with.
We consider a suitable match. We use those details to identify an independent coach we think could be a good fit.
Start with a conversation. You can discuss your priorities, ask questions and find out how that coach works before deciding whether to take things further.
The more clearly you can describe what you need, the easier it is to suggest someone suitable. It is also fine to say that you feel stuck and are not sure where to begin.
The introduction is a starting point. The conversation helps you decide whether the fit feels right.
Based in New Zealand, working with business owners worldwide
Although our coaches are based in New Zealand, we work with small business owners around the world.
Your coach does not have to live in your town to help you think through pricing, staffing, workload or business direction. Remote conversations make it possible to work together across locations, with time zones and availability discussed when arranging a meeting.
Location can still matter. If you would prefer someone nearby, or your situation needs particular local understanding, please mention that in the form. We will take it into account when considering a match.
We cannot promise that your suggested coach will be in your area.
We consider location alongside your needs and the coach’s approach when suggesting a match.
Questions you may have
Will I be matched with a business coach near me?
Possibly, but not necessarily. We consider what you need help with as well as where you are based. Your suggested coach may work with you remotely from another location.
Can I enquire if my business is outside New Zealand?
Yes. We work with small business owners worldwide. Include your country and time zone in your enquiry so these can be considered when suggesting a coach.
Do I need to know exactly what help I need?
No. Describe what is happening in your business and what is causing you concern. An initial conversation can help you put those concerns into words and identify where support might be useful.
How much does business coaching cost?
Our coaches work independently, so fees and arrangements can vary. Ask your suggested coach about costs, what is included and how the coaching would work before agreeing to proceed.
What if the suggested coach does not feel right for me?
Please tell us. A useful coaching relationship needs to feel comfortable enough for an honest conversation. Letting us know what did not suit you can help us consider whether another introduction would be more appropriate.
Tell us what you would like to change
You do not have to wait until the business is in trouble to ask for support. You might want to solve a particular problem, make a decision you have been putting off, or get a clearer view of where the business is heading.
Fill in the form and tell us a little about your situation. We will suggest an independent business coach we think will be a good fit.
